The Guide is an unprecedented tool to assist law firms to implement CSR practices and to act sustainably. It is structured based on international guidelines for social responsibility established by ISO 26000, and it has focused on seven central themes: Organizational Governance, Human Rights, Work Practices, Environment, Loyal Operating Practices, Issues related to Consumer, and Involvement and Development of the Community.
It is a result of intense cooperation of a group of law firms and institutions gathered in the CESA’s Community Advocacy and Social Responsibility Committee, and Araújo e Policastro Advogados is a part of it. The Guide reflects more than two years of evaluation guidelines and questions about social responsibility as identified in ISO 26000, seeking to translate them to the world of the legal profession.
The Guide was laung on December 1st in the 10 years of the Pro Bono Institute Conference. On December 6th it was held a CESA/SINSA cocktail of confraternization. From December 7th the pdf version of the Guide can be accessed through the links: www.cesa.org.br and www.probono.org.br.
